The “0.5-40 GHz Compact EW Receiver” consists of Integrated LRU having triple channel FER 0.5-2 GHz and Down converter 18-40 GHz, Quad Channel RF to IF converter 0.5-18 GHz, BITE, Synthesizer and control Generation Unit, Power Supply and Control Distribution, Enclosure, Interconnecting Cables & Connectors and Test jig and IF switch matrix.
Six inputs each from 0.5-2 GHz and 18-40 GHz antennas are fed to respective inputs of two Triple channel FER 0.5-2 GHz and Down converter 18-40 GHz units to generate outputs that are fed to two units of Quad channel RF to IF converter 0.5-18 GHz. Two units of Quad channel RF to IF converter will be required to down convert the signal in the desired band to generate the required IF outputs. The compact EW receiver LRU is to be packaged in enclosure with control interface on fiber optic cable, power supply input on micro-D connector and RF inputs from respective antenna bands and outputs to digital receiver. The LRU is designed to operate in a air-tight environment.
