We are pleased to share our highly positive experience with MATLAB, extensively used in our Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering. It is integral to our curriculum, enhancing lab sessions and student projects with its intuitive interface and robust performance. MATLAB's versatility, especially in DSP and Machine Learning labs, significantly boosts our students' practical understanding. A recent hackathon further showcased its power and versatility. The Faculty Development Program on Mathematics and Machine Learning using MATLAB, initiated by the Electronics and Communication department in collaboration with Mathematics and Artificial Intelligence departments, has transformed our teaching approach. Our educators now effectively demonstrate complex topics like Fourier series, transforms, calculus, and solving equations, along with machine learning applications in computer vision, object detection, and classification using MATLAB. The workshop on “Xilinx DSP Design Flow using System Generator” conducted at our NIELIT Chennai Centre on 13th and 14th September, 2012 in association with M/s CoreEl Technologies Pvt Ltd, turned out to be an informative event. The program provided insights into solutions from Xilinx to address DSP, image and signal processing applications
The technical support offered by UPT team helped me resolve the issues which our team was facing in using Xilinx ISE and Sparatn-6 FPGA Development kits for student projects
The two days workshop on Signal and image processing applications and Xilinx DSP Design flow was comprehensive one for us and program helped to address our student projects and provided good ideas of addressing our research projects also. We are extremely happy with the initial consultation services & solution framework offered by CoreEL team for our Video suriviliance based research project, now we are in a position to implement the project using Xilinx products with integration of Matlab & Code Composer Studio
The 2 days workshop on FPGA based DSP Design implementations using Xilinx helped us to understand the DSP design flow and hardware implementation challenges. When we launched the program we were expecting 25+ participants but we are happy that the program addressed 70+ participants that too with excellent feedback for hands-on sessions using Xilinx ISE system generator
