Tanner AMS ECO System

THE FULL-FLOW AMS SOLUTION

The Tanner AMS IC design flow is a complete end-to-end design flow for analog/mixed-signal (AMS) IC designs. The flow consists of highly integrated
front and back-end tools, from schematic capture, mixed-signal simulation andwaveform probing to physical layout and foundry-compatible physical verification. All the tools in the flow share a common architecture and user interface.

Considered together these tools comprise a suite that is interoperable with many popular industry tools and industry-standard netlists. The suite minimizes risk by providing foundry support, including many foundry-certified PDKs. The tools are intuitive, easy to use and accessible from anywhere because they are platform-independent, with versions available for both Windows and Linux.

S-Edit – Schematic Capture

A Complete IC Design Capture Environment
Tanner S-Edit is an easy-to-use design environment for schematic capture and design entry. It gives you the power you need to handle your most complex mixed-signal IC design capture. S-Edit is tightly integrated with Tanner T-Spice, Analog FastSPICE™ (AFS), or Eldo® simulators, the Tanner L-Edit IC layout tool, and the Calibre® LVS and PEX tools. S-Edit helps you meet the demands of today’s fast-paced market by optimizingyour productivity and speeding your concepts to silicon.

Features and benefits
• Handles your most complex, fullcustom IC schematic capture
• Integration with T-Spice, AFS, and  Eldo simulators, allowing waveform cross-probing and direct viewing of operating point simulation results in the schematic
• Export formats: SPICE, EDIF, Verilog, and VHDL
• Import formats: Native OpenAccess, EDIF, SPICE, and Verilog
• Support for inherited connections
• Cross-probe between schematic, layout, and Calibre LVS report with net/device highlighting
• Integrated with Tanner L-Edit Schematic Driven Layout (SDL) module to speed the layout and ECO process

Tanner L-Edit IC – Physical Layout

Tanner L-Edit IC is an analog/mixed-signal (AMS) IC physical design environment that gives you all the features you need to quickly and efficiently finish the layout of your design, including:
• Schematic Driven Layout (SDL) capability that allows you to create layout that matches the schematic the first time
• Pad I/O cross reference for easy generation of bonding reports.

L-Edit additionally allows you to:
• Perform complete hierarchical physical layout with all angle and curved polygons on an unlimited number of layers
• Use orthogonal, 45°, all-angle, and curved drawing modes
• View your design with the fastest rendering
• Use a command line interface for run-time automation

• Integration with Calibre® and Calibre RealTime

• Cross-probe between schematic, layout, and LVS report to highlight nets or devices
• Node highlighting for connectivity visualization
