Low Latency Audio-Video (1080p60) Streaming

Low latency multi-media solutions are a requirement for various real time & mission critical markets like Defense & Aerospace, Industrial, Medical, Surveillance,Video Broadcast &Professional Audio/Video (Pro A/V).The need for this requirement arises from real time decision making by the client based on A/V content provided by the source.

Some of the important applications include (but not limited to) Situational Awareness, UAV/UGV/ROV, Live Operating Room& Consultation, Industrial/Machine Vision, Live Video streaming for Sports, News, Place of Worship, etc.

Latency is measured from Capture (at Source/Transmitter) to Display (at Sink/Receiver). When the media is streamed over the internet, it needs to account for path delay & buffering at receiver to manage jitter in packet reception.

CoreEL has multiple solutions, catering to different applications, based on available network bandwidth:

  • Low Latency Video: 1 mbps to 20 mbps,8-bit H.264 Codec, 60 ms end-to-end latency (glass-to-glass)
  • Ultra Low Latency Video: 100 mbps to 200 mbps, 10-bit AVC-Intra (AVCi) Codec, 8 ms end-to-end latency (glass-to-glass)
  • Zero Latency Video: SD (270 mbps) to Full-HD (3 gbps),Uncompressed Video, 0 second end-to-end latency (glass-to-glass)

 These solutions support

  • Video Resolution & Format from NTSC/PAL (SD) to 1080p60 (Full HD/3G)
  • Audio can be 16/24-bit PCM @ 48 KHz sampling or AAC encoded
  • Clock Synchronization between Transmitter and Receiver for loss-less reception (without add-drop of Video and Audio frames), using proprietary Clock Recovery Algorithm
  • Precise A/V Synchronization for Lip-Sync
  • RTP/UDP/IP for streaming & packet encapsulation.Supports Unicast or Multicast based on IGMPv3, without the need for sending same packet to multiple receivers separately
  • Audio and Video are sent as separate streams allowing for independent routing
