Designation: Sr.Vendor Development Engineer

About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Vendor Development Engineer who will be responsible for identifying, developing, and managing suppliers for mechanical, electro-mechanical commodities, and PCB assembly requirements. The ideal candidate should have strong technical understanding of manufacturing processes, costing, and quality procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Vendor Development & Management
• Identify, evaluate, and develop new vendors in alignment with business objectives.
• Assess supplier capabilities through periodic audits to ensure quality, cost, and delivery standards are met.
• Establish long-term vendor relationships while ensuring continuous performance improvement. - Costing & Negotiation
• Evaluate manufacturing processes and prepare accurate tooling/product cost estimations.
• Conduct cost negotiations with suppliers for competitive pricing and favorable payment terms. - Quality & Process Compliance
• Ensure vendors comply with quality tools and processes such as PPAP, APQP, PSW, and other relevant procedures.
• Collaborate with the internal Quality team to standardize procedures and address quality concerns. - Delivery & Coordination
• Coordinate with vendors for on-time delivery of materials and components.
• Work closely with internal teams (Quality, Procurement, Engineering) to resolve supplier-related issues. - Mandatory Skill Set
• Strong negotiation skills
• In-depth knowledge of mechanical processes
• Understanding of quality procedures (PPAP, APQP, PSW, etc.)
• Effective communication and coordination skills - Desired Skill Set

• Willingness to travel frequently for supplier audits and development activities
